What is SEMS?

The Superfund Enterprise Management System (SEMS) is the national database and management system EPA uses to track activities at hazardous waste sites considered for cleanup under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), also known as Superfund. SEMS contains the official inventory of Superfund sites and supports EPA's site planning and tracking functions.
