Frequent Questions

Are there any volunteer opportunities or internships to do Superfund research?

The Superfund program does not offer research internships, fellowships, or volunteer opportunities, but there are means for you to become involved in the Superfund process. If you would like to learn more about grants and training opportunities, please visit the Community Involvement area.

If you are looking for opportunities to volunteer with EPA, please see the Internships, Fellowships, and Student Programs section of the EPA Web site.

If you would like to become involved in the decision-making process on a Superfund hazardous waste cleanup site in your community, contact the Regional Community Involvement Coordinator for the site. You may also consider joining an EPA Community Advisory Group (CAG), a DOE Site-Specific Advisory Board or a DOD Restoration Advisory Board Exit Disclaimer if these groups exist in your community. You may also want to join other community groups that may have been formed around a Superfund Site.
